I wonder why Phillip is not afraid of war....

Why do you think Phillip's mother does not like it in Curacao?

What do you think will happen next? Will Phillip's family stay or move back to the States? Why or why not?

Philip isn't afraid because he thinks its a game. Philips mom doesn't like it there because she doesn't want Philip to get hurt? What I think will happen next is something with the submarines. I think that because it was mentioned a lot last chapter. And finally I think that they won't move back because that would make the book really short.

I agree with Angela I think Philip thinks it a game or role playing.i think she doesn't like curaçao because she thinks its like Virginia four years ago.i think they are going to stay on the island because they don't have safe transportation.finaly I think the family is going to get spit up

Phillip isn't afraid of the war because he thinks its all just a game. Phillips mom doesn't like it there because she doesn't want him hut and she doesn't like it there the submarines are coming in the next chapter It would make the book short if they moved back so I don't think they will even thought his mom misses it

I don't think Philip is afraid of war because he might want to fight in it. He also might think that war is interesting and so cool, so that's another reason he's not afraid of war. He might not be afraid because he's not fighting in it. I think Philip's mother doesn't like Curaçao because she miss's Virigina. I think Philip will get worried and try to help his father out. I think they will stay there because they might still want to help Curaçao! If they do leave Curaçao they might try to come back with help!

I think that Philip isnt afraid of war because he thinks that it's a game. He thinks that because of the games that he plays with Henrik. It's like the games that he played are becoming real. I also think that Philip's mom doesn't like Curaçao because she didn't like the smell of gas and oil whenever the trade winds died down. I think that they will stay because they have no choice. All of the boats aren't running because the German submarines could shoot at them. I don't think that they can fly because of the war. So pretty much every thing is shut down. I also agree with Stefania. I also think that they are going to stay and help Curaçao.

I think that he thinks this is just a game to him but it is the real world war 2 and his mother probably doesn't like curaçao because she is worried something might happen to Phillip or any of his family. I think they will stay because if any of the men see them they will get shot in a second and the ferrys stopped running so they would know if someone left

I think Phillp is NOT afraid of war because he used to play war with his friends. Plus I think that sence he did used to play it as a joke he takes it as a joke. He thinks that Carcuco can fight back but they can't!

I could argue with both places but I think that it would and would not be safer in curaçao. It would not because they're at war. It would because they need a way to get back and they might not be safe going back. If they go in a boat they could get shot and if they go in a plane they could get shot.

I do think Phillips family is going to move because when they are on the boat home, they will get caught in the storm and then that is when Phillip climbs into the life boat and sees the African American in there too.

Philp is not afraid of war because he thinks it is like a game because he used to play war. Philp doesn't realize what is really going on. Philips mother doesn't like curaçao because she is worried about he family and Philp keeps wondering off. I think that Philp is going to wonder off again and he is going to get stuck in a storm and he will be lost. I dont think Philip and his family will move back to the United States until the war is over because the dad is probably going to want to help out and not run awa
